Santiago is the capital of Chile and, in turn, the country's main town, known as Metropolitan Area or Metropolitan Region. It was founded on February 12, 1541 by Spanish conquistador Pedro de Valdivia. It has a total of 37 communes, 26 of which are located in 11 urban radio in your surroundings.
